Overview
There are two spheres of governance within Prince Albert Municipality: Council, which is political in nature and representative of the people who have elected them; and Administration, which are employed by the Municipality as the executors of decisions taken by Council.
The political leadership in Prince Albert Municipality resides in its Council, which is lead by the Democratic Alliance (DA). Executive Mayor Linda Jaquet is the political head of the Prince Albert council.The administration of the Municipality is headed by the Acting Municipal Manager, Mr. Aldrick Hendricks and is responsible for tasks and functions set out in legislation, as well as functions delegated by the Executive Mayor and Council.
