NOTICE is hereby given in terms of Section 49(1)(a)(i) of the Local Government: Municipal Property Rates Act, Act 6 of 2004 that the Supplementary Valuation Roll 7 for the financial year 2022/2023 lies open for public inspection at the various municipal offices and libraries within the municipal boundaries and municipal website www.pamun.org.za from 22 December 2022 to 23 January 2023.
NOTICE is further given in terms of Section 49(1)(a)(ii) of the act, read with Section 78(2), that any owner of property or other person who so desires, may lodge an objection with the Municipal Manager in respect of any matter reflected in, or omitted from the valuation roll within the above mentioned period. Attention is specifically drawn to the fact that in terms of Section 50(2) of the act, an objection must be in relation to a specific individual property and not against the valuation roll as such.
The form for the lodging of an objection is obtainable at the various municipal offices and libraries within the municipal boundaries and on the municipal website.

Prince Albert Local Municipality has passed a Waste Management By-Law to give effect to the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa Schedule 5, Part B and National Environmental Management: Waste Act 59 of 2008, 9 (1).
The Prince Albert Local Municipality invites all interested parties to make representations on the proposed Waste Management By-Law. The draft was approved by Council on 17th August 2023 with Resolution Nr: 85(c) 2023. A copy of the Draft Integrated Waste Management By-Law is available for perusal at Prince Albert Municipality’s Libraries:
Comments must be submitted to the Records Offices (Administration Building, 33 Church Street, Prince Albert) or via email to adminklerk@pamun.gov.za by no later than 09th of October 2023 (30 calender days).
Any personal information obtained from the public comment procedure will only be used for the purposes for which it was collected in accordance with the requirements of the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPI).
